BANDS, BOX OFFICE, & THE BASICS

I need to know when my favorite band is playing. When will the performance schedule be available?
We will release the schedule for the two outdoor stages and the dance tent a week or two before the festival. We will send an email to everyone who signed up for email updates once the schedule is posted, so be sure to sign up.

Will there be a sound conflict between the two stages?
As with most large festivals, the stages and sound systems are designed to not interfere with each other, so there should be no sound conflict between the two stages.

What time does Pimlico open?
The parking lots will open at 8:00 a.m. Gates will open at 10:00 a.m. and are located at the north and south ends of the grandstand. Virgin Mobile Festival is scheduled to end at 10:00p.m.

What time does the box office open each day?
The box office opens each day at 9am.

Can I enter, leave and re-enter Virgin Mobile Festival?
Once you leave the site, there will be no re-entry.

What do VIP tickets get me?

What do VIP tickets REALLY get me?
VIP tickets are for people who want the best experience and don't mind paying for it. You're getting access to special viewing areas, hangout spots, bars, better bathrooms, and more convenient entrances. To purchase VIP tickets click here.

Is there anywhere I can purchase tickets without service fees?
Tickets can be purchased at the 9:30 Club, 815 V Street NW, Washington, DC or at Merriweather Post Pavilion, 10475 Little Patuxent Parkway, Columbia, MD. The only charges are credit card fees, so if you pay with cash, there are no additional charges at all.

You can also go to Macy’s in Baltimore and DC, 1st Mariner Arena, or The Sound Garden, which are Ticketmaster outlets, to purchase tickets. If I bought a two-day ticket and want to attend just one day, can I give the second day ticket to a friend?
No. Tickets are non-transferable. A non-transferable wristband is issued the first day. By the way, be sure to not take off or lose your wristband - without it you won’t be allowed in on the second day.

I'm under-aged, but a huge music fan. Can I go to Virgin Mobile Festival?
All ages are welcome at Virgin Mobile Festival. Children under 7 are admitted free but MUST be accompanied by a ticket-holding adult.

My parents want to know the best drop-off point and pick-up point?
There are a couple good locations for passenger drop-off and pick-up at Pimlico. If you are dropping off, take Park Heights Avenue to Belvedere and drop-off in front of Lot 1 on Belvedere. Also you can drop off on Park Heights at the corner of Hayward.
As for pickup, we suggest you wait on Belvedere, facing westbound, between Park Heights and Preakness Way, in the line where the taxis stage.

What are acceptable forms of ID to purchase alcohol?
Acceptable forms of identification include a current state-issued driver's license or ID card, military ID or a valid passport.

Is Virgin Mobile Festival BYOB?
No outside beer and wine is permitted at Virgin Mobile Festival. You may, however, bring two factory-sealed bottles of water per person, and these bottles can be refilled at on-site water fountains.


PARKING

What does Premium Parking mean? If I don't purchase a parking pass, what are my parking options?
There is limited on-site parking at Pimlico, so we are selling those spaces in advance. If they do not sell out in advance, the remaining spaces will be offered for sale (cash only) on the days of the show.

In addition to on-site parking, off-site parking options near Pimlico are available. Just follow the signs on show day. While spaces last, for a fee, you can park at Pimlico Middle School, at 3500 W. Northern Parkway, just five blocks from Pimlico. You can also park at the Rogers Avenue Metro Subway Station and take the MTA shuttle to Pimlico. To park at other Metro Subway Stations, take the Metro Subway to Rogers Avenue and then catch the shuttle to Pimlico. Free street parking options are available around Pimlico.

I accidentally bought a parking pass even though I got one with my VIP ticket. How do I get a refund?
Each pair of VIP tickets comes with 1 premium parking pass. Ticketmaster added the drop down in case you wanted to buy another parking pass. If you bought one but didn't intend to, please email info@virginmobilefestival.com and we will refund you for the parking pass.

Are parking spots sold out?
No, on-site parking is not sold out. You can purchase on-site parking tickets.

Is there parking for buses and motorhomes?
Yes, there is a special parking lot for oversized vehicles such as motorhomes and buses. Oversized vehicles must park in Lot 1, located at the corner of Park Heights Avenue and Belvedere Avenue. Oversized vehicles must purchase an oversized vehicle parking ticket at Ticketmaster. An oversized vehicle ticket is REQUIRED for RVs and buses. 2-Day tickets for oversized vehicle parking are $150 and will be on sale May 3. (There are no single day oversized vehicles tickets.) This ticket allows you to park on-site at Pimlico on Saturday and Sunday nights. Directions to this lot will accompany your oversized vehicle parking ticket. It should be noted that there will be no festival security in the lot on Sunday night.

Can I park my car in the parking lot overnight?
No, in order to park overnight on-site you must be in an oversized vehicle such as a motorhome or bus and have purchased an oversized vehicle parking ticket.


SPECIAL NEEDS

What services are available for disabled music lovers?
On-site assistance can be found near the center tower in the middle of the infield. Wheelchair accessible platforms will be located at each stage. Please call 410-715-5550 to request an interpreter for the hearing impaired.

Is there handicapped parking at Pimlico?
Handicapped parking is available in the Rogers Avenue lots; Lot 1 at Belvedere and Park Heights; and Lot 9 at Hayward and Winner Avenues. Make sure your handicapped vehicle hang-tag is visible.

What happens if I lose something at Virgin Mobile Festival?
A lost and found area will be located near the center tower in the middle of the infield. After August 10th, please call 410-715-5550 for lost items.

Where can I go to sit and chill out?
There is tons of space on the infield at Pimlico, with plenty of areas to sit and chill at Virgin Mobile Festival. This year we will have numerous shade tents and mist tents, and some new chill zones. There is quite a bit of covered seating in the Old Grandstand, and the new Grandstand building will be open should you need some air conditioning or some shade for a bit.
